A collection of decrees, land deeds, petitions, declarations, reports, notifications, etc., relating to the establishment and implementation of the rights claimed by Mexico City over its public lands. Primary attention is given to the 1690 proceedings conducted by the Real Audiencia through Pedro de la Bastida, a judge of that body, at the instigation of the Municipal Council, but the compilation also includes material on similar measures taken in 1608 as well as a few 18th century documents concerned with municipal lands.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
